Day 1CUSCO – CALCA – HUARAN – CANCHA CANCHA (L, D)

• Maximum altitude: Cancha Cancha campsite – 3980 masl/13057.7 ft.
• Distance covered: 7 kms/4.4 mls (6 hours walking approx.)
• Difficulty: Easy to Moderate.
• Meals included: Snacks, lunch, tea time and dinner.

An early arise awaits today, as you will be greeted into the enticing 4-day trek, as we pick you up from your hotel in Cusco.We recommend you to ask for a box breakfast (so you can enjoy it on the way).

We will start driving until our first stop at Taray Viewpoint an amazing sight, and then for another 1.5 hours we will continue town of Calca (2925 mts/9596.5 ft) where we can have the opportunity to purchase some last minute supplies, or simply take some time to stretch your legs. We will then depart towards Huaran (2966 mts/ 9730.9 ft) where the start point of the trek is located and where your expert guide will provide last instruction prior to commence with the exciting trek. We will ascend for around 3.5 hours witnessing the beautiful flora and fauna, until we reach he Great Rock, Piedra Grande (3780 mts/12401.6 ft) where our gourmet lunch will be already served.

As we continue on our path for about 2.5 hours, we will finally arrive into our luxury campsite of Cancha Cancha (3980 mts/13057.7 ft) perfectly located in front of stunning snow peak mountains. Once in the campsite and before dinner time, you will indulge in a soothing massage session given by our professional therapist, you will feel relax and renew while enjoying the smell of organic essential oils. After this magical session, it is finally time to enjoy of a delightful dinner, to then visit your comfortable bedroom tent and enjoy of a good night of sleep.

Day 2CANCHA CANCHA – PACHACUTEC PASS - QUISWARANI (B, L, D)

An early arise await you as you awake refresh and on time to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Afterwards, we will be ready to begin with our most demanding portion of the trek. We will walk for about 4 hours, in order to reach the highest point, the Pachacutec Pass (4690 mts/15387.1 ft), on this stop you will be welcome by the children living on this area and you make want to share with them some candies, fruits and some color pencils that you brought. On the way appreciate the stunning glaciers, valleys, lakes, and we will be able to see some llamas and alpacas as well. Once we have reach the pass it is time to make a toast to celebrate the great accomplishment with a glass of champagne.

After we have enjoyed of this short celebration, we will then descent for 2 hiurs down to reach the gorgeous scenary of the Qoyalaycocha Lagoon (4140 mts/13582.7 ft), its beauty will leave you breathless. On this spot, you will be served your delightful lunch along hot beverages to renew the energy needed to continue through the 2 hours walking left. During this portion of the hike you will be amazed by waterfalls, and various water formation and you will also experience some of the local culture as we arrive into our luxury campsite on Quirwarani (3902 mts/12801.8 ft). Once there, you will be accustomed to our tradition, so enjoy your hot shower as well as your massage before you savor the delightful dinner the cook has prepared for you tonight before moving to settle it for the evening in your bedroom tent.

Day 3QUISWARANI – LARES HOTSPRINGS – AGUAS CALIENTES (B, L)

● Wake-up time: 04:15 am
● Trek starting time: 07:00 am
● Arrival to Aguas Calientes: 20:45 pm
● Minimum altitude: Aguas Calientes Town – 2070 masl/ 6791.3 ft.
● Maximum altitude: Huillquijassa Pass – 4400 masl/ 14435.7 ft.
● Distance covered: 9 kms/5.6 mls (6 hours walking approx.)
● Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging.
● Meals included: Breakfast, snacks, picnic lunch

To commence the day with energy, enjoy a delicious breakfast before we keep on our journey.

We will ascend for 3.5 hour passing by beautiful locations until we reach Huillquijassa Pass (4400 mts/14435.7 ft) here we will be able to appreciate the mountain ranges shaped by the Urubamba river, along other scenic lagoons and lakes. Later, the descend will take about 2.5 hours leading us to the town of Cuncani and on the way watching where llamas, alpacas and sheep running freely.

As we continue finally arriving into Cuncani (3900 mts/12795.3 ft) where our private transportation will be already waiting to take us to Lares in a 40 min ride. Lares (3260 mts/10695.5 ft) is a natural volcanic hot spring facility, relax and enjoy of this thermal bath that will soothe your muscle. Once you are ready you may want to enjoy of a delicious picnic lunch, as well as saying goodbye to the amazing crew that was making sure you have an extraordinary experience on this trek.

After you have finished with lunch, we will then drive you to Ollantaytambo train station in order for you to board the train towards Aguas Calientes (2070 mts/6791.3 ft). Upon your arrival and by the end of this wonderful excursion, you will be then taken to your previously selected accommodation. Once you had settled at your hotel and coordinated with your guide the pick-up time for the following day, it’s time for a well-deserved dinner (included with your accommodation) and to have a restful sleep in your luxurious room.

Day 4AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU - AGUAS CALIENTES – POROY – CUSCO (B, L)

The day has arrived, we hope you have lots of energy to make the most of your time at the wonderful World Wonder of Machu Picchu. You will take the bus in order to breach the citadel. It is a short 30-minute journey. During the peak seasons between April to July, queues may be a little longer than usual but we assure the wait will be worth it!

You will be given an in depth tour as you wander the premises of this destination. Ask every question that you have, as your guide will be more than happy to answer. Discover the theories and secrets of this impressive citadel and its enclosures. Afterwards, you will some time at your leisure to get lost and captures theses precious moments with many photos. In honor to celebrate your time at Machu Picchu, a scrumptious lunch at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge which is of course included with the program.

Once you have digested your lunch, you may want to take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, it will be 30 roughly minutes. Feel amazing as you board the exclusive Pullman wagon, which will take you back to Poroy train station

Once you arrive at Poroy train station, a View Latin American representative will be present to make sure that you board your private transportation and promptly arrive back at your hotel in Cusco. The journey will take about 40 minutes of the road.
